Wemade (hereinafter “the company”) complies with relevant personal information protection regulations in related laws that the company must comply with, such as the "Personal Information Protection Act,” and has composed the privacy policy in accordance with related laws, and the company is doing its best to protect the rights and interests of the principals of personal information.
This privacy policy applies to all job applicants, visitors, and users (hereinafter “users”) of Wemade and affiliated companies.
Article 1 Purposes for the collection and use of personal information
1. The company processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information processed by the company shall not be used for purposes other than the ones shown below. And in cases of changes in the purposes of the use of personal information,
the company shall execute necessary measures such as acquiring consent separately in accordance with the “Personal Information Protection Act.”
(1) For job applicants: personal information will be processed for the following purposes - processing of the talent hiring process and guides for each step of the process, management of job applicants' application history,
as basis for evaluation of applications and interviews as well as for determining the suitability of applicants, honorable treatment of and support for persons of distinguished service to the state, applicant pool management,
processing and notification of the results of enquiries related to the hiring process, checking of applicants' information and determining of wages and benefits,
preferential treatment of persons with disabilities in accordance with the Act on the Employment Promotion and Vocational Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities,
and checking of reasons for disqualification of overseas travel as someone with military experience or exempt from military service.
(2) For visitors to the offices: personal information will be processed for the purposes of checking visitor information, and support for parking fee registrations.
(3) For ethical reports (name disclosed reports): personal information will be processed for the purposes of processing the report, and for notifying the reporter of the results.
Article 2 Duration of personal information storage and use
1. The company shall retain and process personal information, either within the retention period notified to the user on the user's agreement of the use of personal information, or within the retention and use period in accordance with relevant laws. However, if the applicant requests deletion of their own personal information, the company destroys without delay all information excluding the information required to be retained by related laws.
(1) Personal information of job applicants: 1 year after the date of receipt
(2) Personal information for applicant pool registrations: 2 years after the date of receipt
(3) Visitor information: 1 year after the date of visit
(4) Support for parking fee registration: 3 months after the date of visit
(5) Ethical reporting (name disclosed reports): 1 year after the report is determined to be closed
(6) Storage of personal information in accordance with related laws

- (Required) Name, date of birth, mobile phone number, email address, desired compensation, previously received compensation, how the applicant came to apply, disability information if applicable, veteran information, military service experience, education, work experience (career experience), desired area of work (only for applicant pool submissions)
- (Optional) Gender, nationality, place of address, website/blog, transcript, dissertation, description of career experience, portfolio, language skills, language proficiency certificates, international experience, licenses and certificates and awards, Computer Specialist in Spreadsheet and Database, completed education history, academic and non-academic activities, referred by (if referred), identification photo
(2) For visitors to the offices

- (Optional) License plate number
(3) For ethical reporting (name disclosed reports)

Article 4 Sharing and provision of personal information
1. The company processes personal information of users only within the range specified in the “Purposes for the collection and use of personal information.”
The company only provides personal information of users to third parties in cases with the users' consent, mentioned under special legal regulations or the “Personal Information Protection Act,” and does not provide users’ personal information to third parties in other cases.
2. For the purpose of fair hiring processes, applicant pool registrations may be shared with affiliated companies for hiring processes in the same area as the original application.
Article 5 Delegation of personal information
1. The company entrusts personal information processing tasks to the following entities for the purpose of good personal information processing.

2. In accordance with the “Personal Information Protection Act,” the company has specified matters related to the prohibition of personal information processing other than for the purposes of execution of the tasks entrusted, security measures,
limit on re-entrusting the tasks entrusted, management and overseeing of the other entities that the company has entrusted the tasks of, and responsibilities such as compensation and indemnification for damages, and the company manages and oversees the safe processing of personal information by the other entities that the company has entrusted the tasks to.
3. In cases where there are changes in the content of the tasks entrusted or of the other entities that the company has entrusted the tasks to, the company will disclose these changes through the privacy policy without delay.
Article 6 Destruction of personal information
1. In cases where personal information has become unnecessary due to reasons such as the personal information retention period having expired, or the achievement of processing objectives, the company will destroy applicable personal information without delay.
2. In cases where personal information must be retained in accordance with other laws, despite the personal information retention period having expired, or processing objectives achieved, the company will move applicable personal information to a separate database (DB) or a separate place of retention to preserve said information. (Refer to “Period of retention and processing of personal information”)
3. The procedure and method of destruction of personal information is as follows.
(1) Personal information recorded or stored in electronic file formats is to be destroyed using technical means which make the information unrecoverable, and personal information printed on paper records is to be destroyed through shredding through a shredder or incineration.
Article 7 Rights of users & legal representatives and exercising those rights
1. Users may exercise their relevant rights to the company such as requests to view, amend, delete, or stop the processing of personal information at any time.
* In cases of children under 14 years of age, requests such as viewing personal information must be made by their legal representative, and users that are minors over 14 years of age may exercise their rights to user personal information themselves, or exercise their rights through their legal representative.
2. Users may contact the personnel responsible for the protection of personal information in writing or by email (privacy@wemade.com), and the company shall process these requests without delay. However, if the company has good reason to reject users' requests to view, or amend, part of, or all of, users' personal information,
the company may do so and notify the users of the company's intention to refuse with explanation of their reasons.
3. Requests to amend or delete personal information cannot be requested if the applicable personal information is specified as information to be collected in other laws.
Article 8 Matters concerning measures taken to ensure security of personal information
1. The company takes the following measures to ensure security of personal information.
(1) Management measures: establishment and execution of internal management plans, operation of dedicated task force, regular employee training sessions
(2) Technical measures: management of access rights to systems such as the personal information processing system, installation of access control system, encryption of personal information, installation and updates of security programs
(3) Physical measures: control of access to computer room, document storage room

Article 3 Types of personal information collected
1. The company processes the following types of personal information.

licenses and certificates, Computer Specialist in Spreadsheet and Database, awards, completed education history, academic and non-academic activities, referred by (if referred)
(2) For visitors to the offices

Article 4 Provision of personal information
1. The company processes personal information of users only within the range specified in the purposes of processing personal information. The company only provides personal information of users to third parties in cases with the users' consent, mentioned under special legal regulations,
or Article 17 or Article 18 of the “Personal Information Protection Act,” and does not provide users’ personal information to third parties in other cases.
2. The company provides only the minimum range necessary with the users’ consent for the purpose of continuing to provide good service in the following cases.
Article 5 Delegation of personal information
1. The company entrusts personal information processing tasks to the following entities for the purpose of good personal information processing.

2. In accordance with Article 26 of the “Personal Information Protection Act,” the company has specified matters related to the prohibition of personal information processing other than for the purposes of execution of the tasks entrusted, technical and management protective measures, limit on re-entrusting the tasks entrusted, management and overseeing of the other entities that the company has entrusted the tasks of, and responsibilities such as compensation and indemnification for damages, and the company manages and oversees the safe processing of personal information by the other entities that the company has entrusted the tasks to.
3. In cases where there are changes in the content of the tasks entrusted or of the other entities that the company has entrusted the tasks to, the company will disclose these changes through the privacy policy without delay.
Article 6 Destruction of personal information
1. In cases where personal information has become unnecessary due to reasons such as the personal information retention period having expired, or the achievement of processing objectives, the company will destroy applicable personal information without delay.
2. In cases where personal information must be retained in accordance with other laws, despite the personal information retention period having expired, or processing objectives achieved, the company will move applicable personal information to a separate database (DB) or a separate place of retention to preserve said information. (Refer to “Period of retention and processing of personal information”)
3. The procedure and method of destruction of personal information is as follows.
(1) Personal information recorded or stored in electronic file formats is to be destroyed using technical means which make the information unrecoverable, and personal information printed on paper records is to be destroyed through shredding through a shredder or incineration.
Article 7 Rights of users & legal representatives and exercising those rights
1. Users may exercise their relevant rights to the company such as requests to view, amend, delete, or stop the processing of personal information at any time.
* In cases of children under 14 years of age, requests such as viewing personal information must be made by their legal representative, and users that are minors over 14 years of age may exercise their rights to user personal information themselves, or exercise their rights through their legal representative.
2. Users may contact the personnel responsible for the protection of personal information in writing or by email (privacy@wemade.com), and the company shall process these requests without delay. However, if the company has good reason to reject users' requests to view, or amend, part of, or all of, users' personal information,
the company may do so and notify the users of the company's intention to refuse with explanation of their reasons.
3. Requests to amend or delete personal information cannot be requested if the applicable personal information is specified as information to be collected in other laws.
Article 8 Matters concerning measures taken to ensure security of personal information
1. The company takes the following measures to ensure security of personal information.
(1) Management measures: establishment and execution of internal management plans, operation of dedicated task force, regular employee training sessions
(2) Technical measures: management of access rights to systems such as the personal information processing system, installation of access control system, encryption of personal information, installation and updates of security programs
(3) Physical measures: control of access to computer room, document storage room
2. To ensure the security of personal information, the company also executes the following activities in addition to measures stated in laws.
(1) Activities related to personal information protection: operation of dedicated task force for personal information protection, personal information protection training for personnel in charge of handling personal information
(2) Acquiring of domestic and international personal information protection certifications: ISMS, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27001
Article 9 Matters concerning the installation and operations of devices that automatically collect personal information, and refusal of these matters
